What does the IP code mean? Classification for dust and water protection

The IP code, formed by “IP” followed by two digits (e.g. IP67), tells you an items protection against dust, dirt and moisture.

The first digit indicates the items resistance against small particles like dust and dirt.

The second digit indicates the items moist- and water resistance.

First digit

Example

Our DRL lamps for motorcycle and ATV has the classification IP68, which means they are completely dust- and water protected.
